Getting to Notre-Dame
Metro, RER, bus, riverboat, and walking routes to the cathedral — with one-tap directions.

Notre-Dame stands on the Île de la Cité, the island at the very centre of Paris, which makes it one of the easiest places in the city to reach. Several metro and RER stations sit within a few minutes’ walk, and the riverside approach is one of the most beautiful arrivals in Paris.
If you can, arrive on foot along the quays or across the Pont au Double from the Left Bank — you will see the façade open up in front of you. Allow ten extra minutes for the security check before your reserved time.
